Summer 2009 a Wet & Wonderful Success

Another summer behind us and time again to take stock in what each session, camper, staff member, friendship, family, activity, smile, and hug meant to us. This year saw the community begin the summer struggling with almost 10 days of rain during the first two weeks. The program then embraced the weather and rolled out the muddy soccer, drama activities, and accomplished hiking goals in the muck.

Feedback included:

I just wanted to thank you and Jess for giving me the chance to be apart of camp Hawkeye for another year of the summer. I really had the most fun I could of imagined those days I was there. The drive home was a sad one, especially leaving camp.

Just to let you know the boys are both home albeit they are fast asleep having had a fantastic summer with you again - they can't wait for next year! Thanks again for looking after them and giving them memories they will never forget, they can't imagine life without camp now.

Community members were overwhelmingly positive and ready to solve all of the little things that do come up in a group.  Everyone's brave participation, energy, silliness, commitment, and communication is appreciated.  Let it not end here; please email us your feedback from this summer.  What did camp mean to you?  We'll use your input to improve things for next year as well as get it posted and make you famous.  And remember we need you back and...

WE WANT TO SEE AGAIN IN 2010!
