An overnight camp for girls and boys ages 8 to 16,
with a commitment to a diverse community

There are various ways that campers may arrive at camp; these include by car, bus, train, plane, or camp transportation. Those campers arriving by car come with a family member or family friend who drives them and drops them off. Below are Driving Directions from a few of the major cities of the Northeast. If families cannot drop their child off at camp on the opening day of the session they may take advantage of camp transportation.

Camp Hawkeye offers shuttle service, in the form of camp 12 person vans or chartered buses, from Boston, outside of New York on the Merritt Parkway just into Connecticut, and any other city where there is sufficient need. If there is not sufficient interest to merit a bus or van other arrangements will be made. Transportation is offered for $50 per camper each way. Please find details on the Merritt Pick Up & Drop Off here.

In addition, Hawkeye offers pick ups from a pair of "nearby" airports, which include Logan Airport in Boston, MA and Manchester Airport in Manchester, NH. These airports are within two hours driving from camp. International campers in particular are encouraged to utilize these airports if possible. Private bus and train services are available but are not as convenient or timely. Please call the office at (617) 960-6740 for details or questions.

Nearest Airports

Within two hours of Hawkeye are two international airports with service to and from all major American cities. These airports offer low cost flights from Philadelphia, New York and Washington, DC as well and are conveniently accessible from camp. The largest, but farthest, is Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, MA, which is two hours and 120 miles from camp. The closest is Manchester Airport (MHT) in Manchester, NH, which is just over an hour and just sixty miles from camp.

“It remains for me to say an enormous thank you for your hard work, commitment and dedication to the boys. You are indeed very highly thought of and are clearly excellent role models for the campers. Have a restful time and enjoy what's left of the summer.”
