Spotlight
Name: Robert a.k.a. "Wapper"
(\'hwä-per, 'wä-\) {also "whopper")
From:
Massapequa, Long Island...which exit on the LIE is that?
Tribe:
Huron
Football Team: Unknown (for amusement
we'll pretend it is Liverpool!)
Age:
14...or so he says
Bunk:
1
Counselors:
Chris & Mike (Session I) and Chris & Pedro (Session II)
Our first camper to be featured this summer, an honor, and truly
apt, for this young man has what many administrators consider a perfect
personality for camp. Robert, or Wapper as we'll call him from now
on, transitioned into Bunk 1 well from the start. Sorted into the
Huron tribe Wapper has certainly found a home. His competitive
nature and rules based approach has allowed for the Hurons to jump to an
early lead in the Tribe Contest.
Quickly earning accolades for his Tribe conquests and his hiking prowess
Wapper is looking forward to two things this week; first he is excited
about another round of Capture the Flag on Tuesday night, and, second he
is anxiously awaiting his next hike, an overnight, with the Ostrich
hiking group. Wapper was a star during the first Tribal Capture
the Flag activity single-handedly winning two games with brilliant end
to end runs taking the flag across for a Huron romp.
Wapper has also distinguished
himself on the trail. He participated in the longest hike yet of
the summer summiting Mt. Chocorua being treated to, what many consider
is, the best view in the Whites.
