SLEEP OUT UNDER THE STARS
I'LL HAVE S'MORE S'MORES, PLEASE!
The awesomeness of sleeping away from your cabin is something you won't really understand until you experience it. It's a night to spend away from the rest of the groups, getting more connected with your cabin-mates as you tell stories around the campfire and relax under the stars. One day during the session, your cabin will pack up all the gear and head out to the far reaches of our 150-acre property for an amazing overnight camp-out.
Plus, there's no "lights out" time on camp-out nights...you can stay up and watch the stars! Some cabins decide to return for breakfast in the dining hall, while others choose to stay and make breakfast over the fire (yum). When you head back to main camp, you'll return smelling like campfire, having had an adventure and having eaten plenty of s'mores (toasted marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers made over the campfire).

HIKING TRIPS
At Hawkeye we love to go adventuring and we know you will too! With weekly trips, you might find yourself climbing to the peak of a mountain or exploring a string of beaver ponds, caves or even a waterfall! You'll be with your friends, discovering parts of the world you've never seen. The first week of your session, you'll hike with your cabin group. The next week, you can choose your adventure. Will it be something to really challenge yourself? A trip to a place where you can see for miles to the horizon and be higher up in the sky than the birds? Or maybe something that allows you to search out salamanders or eat wild blueberries. Whatever you choose, adventure awaits!
SUNRISE HIKE OPTION
Each session there is an opportunity for you to greet the sun from the top of one of the area mountains. Wake up in the dark and start your hike with your headlamp and regular hiking gear. Race the sunrise to the top! 360-degree views await you as you watch the sun appear to rise from nowhere just beyond the mountains. Watch the world come alive in the morning glow, see the lakes and the land wake up, and experience a truly magical moment.
MOOSE ON THE LOOSE!
It is possible that while you're out adventuring with your friends, you might also spot something special - a moose or other large animal. Will you be part of a special Moose Search? You have to get up early but spotting these amazing creatures does happen!
EXPLORE NEW PLACES ON TRIPS
WATERFALLS AND RIVERS, OH MY!
During the summer, we will take groups to the picturesque Lake Warren and the Connecticut River to do more open and advanced stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing.
